Introduction
This section lists the types of messages that you can configure in Message Management. The message types are listed alphabetically.
Types of Messages
For each message type, the following columns of information are displayed:
· Message Type: Indicates the name of the message as seen in LearnFlex. This is the value shown in the Message Type column in the user’s Message Centre.
· Description: Indicates the basic content or reason for the message.
· Trigger Date: Indicates the date that will cause the message to be sent to applicable users.
· Event Date Value: Indicates the value that you should specify in the Event Days field when configuring each message. You need to specify a negative value to send the message before a certain event occurs, and a positive value to send the message after a certain event occurs.

Reminds users that their achievements, such as licenses or certificates, are about to expire. |

Class Maximum Message |
Indicates to administrators, instructors, and the curriculum group head of the course that the session maximum enrollment has been met. |
Sign up date or registration date for the course session. The registration date is the date that the last user registered for the course (making the course full). |
Number of days until the message will be sent to users. It is recommended to specify a value of 1 so that the administrators, instructors, and curriculum head are notified at the end of the day or early morning. |
Class Minimum Message |
Indicates to administrators, instructors, and curriculum group head for a course session that the minimum enrollment has not been met. |
Number of days until the message will be sent to users. |

An automatic email message that reminds users to retake an expired competency |
The trigger date is the competency expiration date. The competency expiry date can be set on the following screens: |
Number of days prior to the competency expiration date that the message is to be sent. |

Course Auto Complete Warning |

Course Completion Certificate |
Informs users that they have passed the course. |
Number of days until the message will be sent to users. |

Course Completion Message |
For all external courses and conferences in a user's learning plan. This is to send a message regardless of whether the user passed the course or not. |

Reminds users when their registered session will start. |

Manager Approval Count |
Notifies managers that they have users that are pending manager approval. This will check one business unit below the manager. |
Runs each time the scheduled notifier is run. |
Number of days until the message will be sent to users. In this case, it should be zero. |
Renewal Cycle Reminder |
Reminds the user when it is time to enroll in a course. |

Self-Complete |

Survey Reminder |
Reminds a user to take a survey a set number of days after they have completed that course. |

Travel Reminder |
Reminds users when they are scheduled to travel. Messages must include the following information from the Request Manager: · Hotel Name · Check-in Date · Check – out Date · Smoking · Occupancy · Additional instructions (includes confirmation number and hotel contact information) · Comments · Map URL |

Unread Messages |
Notifies users that they have unread messages in their LearnFlex Message Centre. |
Runs every time the scheduled notifier runs. |
Number of days until the message is to be sent out to the users. In this case, it should be zero. |
Waiting List to Enrollment |
When the user moves from the waiting list to being enrolled, a message will be sent to their manager. Their manager is determined by the business unit structure and would normally be anyone higher up in the business unit hierarchy than the learner. In message management, the administrator has the ability to determine how many levels up the business unit hierarchy the message should be sent to. |
This event runs when the user moves from the waiting list to an Enrolled status. |
