What’s New Messages Changes – Admin Mode (1048)

The following enhancements have been made to What’s New Message Management:

·        A new field, Short Message, has been added to the message configuration screens. Use this field to enter a shortened version (up to 4000 alphanumeric characters) of the main what’s new messages which can be viewed from the main What’s New screen in User mode. This field supports html tags.

·        Product Line has been added as a criteria type on the  Message Criteria screen. Select this criteria type to target what’s new messages to users according to the product line(s) associated with their business unit memberships. The specified what’s new message becomes available to users associated with any of the product lines selected.

Registration Appointment Attachments - Admin Mode (1181)

This enhancement introduces the ability for users to receive appointment attachments in the registration emails that are sent upon registering for learning activities in LearnFlex. They can be used to schedule session details, such as date, time, and location in Microsoft Outlook.

To use this functionality you need to:

1.      Contact your LearnFlex representative to have it enabled through a global setting.

2.      Check the Send Outlook ICS Attachments box on the Basic Information screen of the community whose members will receive the appointment attachments.

3.      On the same screen, use the Max Sessions in ICS File field to enter the maximum number of sessions for which the attachment will book appointments in users’ Microsoft Outlook applications.

Note: Appointment files are sent only for learning activities with Instructor-led and Blended Online instructional media types.

Note: This feature is only available when external email is enabled through global settings. Contact your LearnFlex representative for details.

Course Schemas (1400)

This enhancement introduces the ability to create community-specific course configuration models by enabling or disabling the fields, drop-down lists, buttons, and so on available to administrators in the Course Basics, Course Additional, and Session Basics screens.

Note: This functionality is available only when security setting 793: Course Schema is enabled. Additionally, cohorts for whom security setting 797: Course Schema – Override Hide is enabled are able to view the settings hidden using this functionality.
