Enrollment Restrictions Overview

Introduction

This module allows you to specify restrictions for course and LearnTrack enrollments. For example, you may want to prevent a user from enrolling in a course that they have failed twice.

To configure enrollment restrictions, you need to:

1.      Make sure that security setting 701: Enrollment Restrictions has been enabled. It enables the display of the Enrollment Restrictions left-hand side menu.

2.      Configure your enrollment restrictions.

3.      Ensure that the courses and LearnTrack have an external ID, and that it matches the ones specified in your enrollment restrictions.

Note: Unlike session information (which is based on the number of participants), enrollment restrictions can be based on user-defined variables, such as whether the proper prerequisites have been met, the number of times the user has previously failed the course, the users within a session, and more.

Procedure

1        From the Settings menu, select Course, then Enrollment Restrictions.

The Enrollment Restrictions screen is displayed:

Enrollment Restrictions

This screen displays those enrollment restrictions that have been created, and the rules that determine whether or not enrollment restrictions will be applied to courses and LearnTracks.

2        You can perform the following operations from this screen:

·        Click the link of the enrollment restriction that you want to edit.

·        Click New to add an enrollment restriction.
