Reenrollment Overview

Introduction

Normally, after a user has completed a course session or LearnTrack, they cannot be enrolled in the course session or LearnTrack again. If reenrollment is enabled for a course or LearnTrack, this restriction is lifted. Any other restrictions on enrollment still apply.

Configuring Reenrollment

Contact  your LearnFlex representative to enable or disable the following Client Setup global settings:

·        Allow Course Reenrollments: When enabled, the Allow Reenrollments box is displayed on the Course Additional screen and can be checked to enable reenrollment on a per-course basis.

·        Allow LearnTrack Reenrollments: When enabled, the Allow Reenrollments box is displayed on the LearnTrack Registration screen and can be checked to enable reenrollment a per-LearnTrack basis.

·        Enable Reenrollment by Default: When enabled, the Allow Reenrollments boxes for courses and LearnTracks will be checked by default.

Reenrollment and LearnTracks

Courses and sessions that are achievement requirements of a LearnTrack inherit the ability to be reenrolled in or not based on the reenrollment setting of the LearnTrack, regardless of whether reenrollment is enabled for the requirements themselves.

With reenrollment enabled for a LearnTrack, previous completions of achievement requirements are not counted toward LearnTrack completion. LearnTracks without reenrollment enabled count all previous completions of achievement requirements toward the completion of the LearnTrack.

For example, if a course with reenrollment disabled is an achievement requirement of a LearnTrack that allows reenrollment, learners registered in the LearnTrack are able to reenroll in the course and must complete the course again to meet the requirement for the LearnTrack. Similarly, if a course with reenrollment enabled is an achievement requirement of a LearnTrack that does not allow reenrollment, learners who previously completed the course will not be able to reenroll in the course and it will count as completed for the purposes of the LearnTrack’s requirements.

If a LearnTrack is In Progress, a user cannot reenroll in any of the courses even if the course would normally allow reenrollment.

LearnTracks cannot be reenrolled unless it has been completed.

Overlapping LearnTrack Achievement Requirements

When multiple In Progress LearnTracks share achievement requirements, completion of an achievement requirement is applied to all In Progress LearnTracks that contain the same requirement, even if reenrollment is enabled for one or more of the LearnTracks.

If a LearnTrack has reenrollment enabled and one its courses is also an achievement requirement of another In Progress LearnTrack, that course will not be reenrolled.
