Achievement Requirements for a LearnTrack Overview

Introduction

Use achievement requirements to identify the mandatory and optional courses for the LearnTrack. When creating a LearnTrack, the user will be moved from one course to another automatically through the successful completion of each course.

Achievement requirements are organized using the concept of a “group” which is simply a collection of one of more learning activities. For each group, you can indicate if its learning activities are required to complete the LearnTrack, or only optional. As well, you can indicate the minimum number of learning activities in the group that must be completed for the group to be considered completed.

For example, you can create two groups – one mandatory and one optional. The mandatory group contains Mand1 and Mand 2, and the optional group contains Opt 3 and Opt 4, where at least one optional learning activity is required. Any user who wishes to complete the selected LearnTrack must complete both Mand1 and Mand2, and only one of Opt 3 or Opt 4.

A learning activity can only be added once to a group, although it can be added to different groups within the same LearnTrack. You can have multiple mandatory groups, and/or one or more optional groups.

Note: Any changes to the LearnTrack requirements may affect its registration rules.

Versions of Achievement Requirements

LearnTrack achievement requirements have two versions (Version 1 and Version 2). While the basics for each are the same (as explained above), some of the details in each are different.

The version that you are using is defined by a global setting configured by your account manager.
