Simplified User Registration and Grading Process for Instructors (7023)

The enhancement allows instructors to register users more easily into courses that they are instructing. By linking directly to the Course Registration screen from the course user list, the instructor no longer has to search for the specific course and session to which they want to add users. This improves the usability and efficiency of instructors who need to register additional users into their courses.

Note: This feature only applies to courses.

The following changes have been made for this enhancement:

1.      Security setting 774: Course Registration - Show Menu Item has been added. Checking this setting displays the Course Registration sub-menu within the Registration module. By default, this security setting is enabled (standard functioning).

If this box is unchecked, the menu is no longer displayed. However, the functionality to register a group can still be accessed from the Course Instruction screen when security setting 768: Register More Users (explained below) is enabled.

2.      Security setting 768: Register More Users has been added. Checking this security setting displays the new Register More Users button on the Learner Details report. This button allows you to register additional users into the selected course.

After the first screen of the registration process, the name of the button changes to Return to Course Instruction. If you click this button before the final screen of the registration process, a warning message is displayed and you will have the option of ending or continuing the registration process.
