Introduction to Reports

Standard Reports

LearnFlex has many reports already developed and categorized. These reports can be printed and/or exported to Excel, HTML, or plain text. Reports involving people are usually generated by business unit or cohort. Remember that cohorts can cross business units. For example, a report that uses Curriculum Group will display users in multiple business units because curriculum groups are targeted towards cohorts.

Visual Reports

In addition to the standard and customizable reports available, LearnFlex also provides Visual reports which are customizable instances of certain reports that provide graphical information to users both in Admin and User modes.

Security Level Considerations for Running Reports

It is important to point out that for certain reports, you can choose to view information coming from certain users or business units. In this case, the information retrieved will come from users that are at the same business level or below of the individual who ran the report. In some other cases however, a user might run a report that returns information from a learner from a higher business unit. As an example, an instructor might run a grade report on a group of learners that include the company’s CEO. Because of this, it is important for the LMS administrators to pay special attention to who exactly is granted access to running reports.

Sorting Report Headings

You can click on certain column headings to sort the results based on that heading.
