Documentation Conventions

To help you understand the text formatting used in the online help, its documentation conventions are explained:

·        Bolding: References user interface names and labels, such as screens, fields, and drop-down lists. It also indicates each item at the start of a bulleted list, and identifies sections (such as Introduction and Procedure) within a topic. Centred bolded text beneath an image indicates that image’s caption (or name).

·        Italics: Indicates file, document, folder, and section names, as well as statuses (for users, courses and so on).

1.      Numbered lists: Indicates the actual step a user needs to perform within a procedure. Associated information for that step is indented within that step.

·        <text>: Text encased in triangle brackets with the text italicized indicates text that is variable or user-defined.

Text encased in blue: Indicates information that needs to be noted.

·        Blue underlined text: Indicates a link to another topic or section within the online help.

·        Canadian spelling is used throughout this online help.

Note: Depending on context and other aspects, there are may be instances where these conventions are not followed.
